Regular Season Round 42: Fukuoka R. - Gunma 78-80

Sixth-ranked Fukuoka R. (11-32) made lots of trouble for second ranked Gunma (29-13). The visitors from Gunma managed to secure only two-point victory 80-78. However their fans expected much easier game. Gunma players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. It was a good game for Hungarian-American Rosco Allen (208-93, college: Stanford, agency: Pensack Sports) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 6 rebounds and 12 assists. American center Garrett Stutz (214-90, college: Wichita St.) contributed with 19 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Four Gunma players scored in double figures. Spanish center David Doblas (209-81) replied with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Masashi Joho (183-82) added 25 points in the effort for Fukuoka R.Fukuoka R.'s coach Iurgi Caminos tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Gunma have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 29-13 record having just three points less than leader Shinshu BW. Fukuoka R. lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with 32 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
