Regular Season Round 20: Bochum - Iserlohn 98-82

Rather expected game when 10th ranked Iserlohn (6-14) lost to eighth ranked SparkassenStars (11-9) in Bochum 82-98 on Saturday. SparkassenStars shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 51.6 percentage. Iserlohn was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Forward Marius Behr (201-97) orchestrated the victory by scoring 24 points (perfect from the field making all nine shots !!!). American center Zach Haney (211-96, college: Boise St.) contributed with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Four SparkassenStars players scored in double figures. SparkassenStars' coach Felix Banobre used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Naturalized American swingman Elijah Allen (195-89, college: NW Missouri St.) replied with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 11 rebounds and naturalized American Chris Frazier (182-90, college: Dubuque) added 21 points in the effort for Iserlohn. SparkassenStars moved-up to fourth place in North, which they share with Bernau and BSW Sixers. Loser Iserlohn keeps the tenth position with 14 games lost. SparkassenStars will face league's leader Itzehoe on the road in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Iserlohn will play against RSV Eintracht (#12) in Stahnsdorf and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
