There was an upset when second-ranked Mollet (12-6) was defeated at home by sixth ranked Castelldefels (11-7) 70-66 on Sunday. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman Albert Real (189-97) who helped to win the game recording 26 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Eric Manes (194-87) who added 8 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Center Angel Soto (205-90) responded with 12 points and 8 rebounds and guard Santiago Serrataco (187-90) scored 13 points and 7 rebounds. Mollet's coach Josep Maria Marsa tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Castelldefels have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain sixth position in Group C-B with 11-7 record, which they share with Valls Nutrion. Loser Mollet keeps the second place with six games lost. Castelldefels will face higher ranked Mataro Feimat (#3) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Mollet will play against the league's leader Tarragona and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
