Regular Season Round 19: Netanya - Ashkelon 75-52

There was a small surprise when eleventh ranked Netanya (8-11) smashed at home 9th ranked Ironi Ashkelon (8-11) 75-52 on Tuesday. They outrebounded Ironi Ashkelon 42-30 including a 33-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great evening for American guard Rashad Madden (196-92, college: Arkansas) who led his team to a victory scoring 13 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists. His fellow American import forward Bryce Washington (198-96, college: La-Lafayette) helped adding 11 points and 12 rebounds. At the losing side American point guard Paul Delaney (188-86, college: UAB) responded with 11 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and American-Armenian forward Arizona Reid (196-86, college: High Point) scored 11 points and 5 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Netanya moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Ashkelon. Netanya will face higher ranked Afula (#3) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
