Rather expected game in Dnipro where 7th ranked Novomoskovsk (3-21) was rolled over by fourth ranked Politekhnik (12-9) 104-44 on Wednesday. The game without a history. Politekhnik led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Novomoskovsk to just 5 points in first quarter. Politekhnik dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Novomoskovsk's 28. Politekhnik forced 26 Novomoskovsk turnovers and outrebounded them 51-37 including 16 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 4 passes made by Novomoskovsk's players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Politekhnik made 8 blocks. The best player for the winners was forward Vladislav Cheverdin (202-94) who scored 17 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Newly promoted team dropped to the eighth position with 21 games lost. Politekhnik will face higher ranked SumDU (#3) in Sumy in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
