Regular Season Round 21: Tenerife Naut. - Alcala 83-75

There was a small surprise in Santa Cruz de Tenerife where tenth ranked Tenerife Naut. (10-10) defeated 7th ranked Alcala (11-10) 83-75 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was Senegalese power forward Serigne-Fallou Niang (202-88) who scored 15 points and 7 rebounds. Montenegrin forward Danilo Brnovic (200-0) chipped in 17 points. Tenerife Naut.'s coach Santi Lucena let to play all 12 players and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was power forward Juan-Gabriel Martinez (198-93) who recorded 14 points and 7 rebounds and forward Carlos Abentin (188-97) added 13 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Tenerife Naut. moved-up to ninth place in Group B. Newly promoted Alcala dropped to the sixth position with ten games lost. Tenerife Naut. will face higher ranked Zentro Basket (#5) in Madrid in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
