Regular Season Round 21: Tuebingen 2 - Kronberg 91-78

Very expected game when 14th ranked Kronberg (6-15) was defeated on the road by tenth ranked Tuebingen 2 (9-11) 91-78 on Saturday. Tuebingen 2 dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Kronberg's 24. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Nico Hihn stepped up and scored 25 points and 9 rebounds for the winners and Matti Sorgius (196-1) chipped in 14 points and 10 rebounds. Four Tuebingen 2 players scored in double figures. Tuebingen 2's coach Manuel Pasios allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was guard Yannick Schicktanz (186-90) with 21 points and guard Tim Steiner (186-92) scored 20 points and 5 rebounds. The victory was the third consecutive win for Tuebingen 2. They moved-up to eighth place in South-West. Loser Kronberg keeps the fourteenth position with 15 games lost. Tuebingen 2 will face league's second-placed Koblenz on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Kronberg will play against TV Langen (#3) and hope to win that game.
