Regular Season Round 20: Olhanense - Sanjoanense 82-68

There was no surprise when 10th ranked Sanjoanense (10-10) was defeated on the road by third ranked Olhanense (14-7) 82-68. Olhanense dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Sanjoanense's 26. The winners were led by American guard Reggie Baker (193-93, college: Beth.-Cookman) who scored that evening 27 points and the other American import forward Steven Julian (198-96, college: Cornell) supported him with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Olhanense's coach Caesar Domingues allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even a double-double of 14 points and 14 rebounds by American forward Torrance Johnson (198, college: Purdue NW, agency: Interperformances) did not help to save the game for Sanjoanense. Emanuel Sa added 15 points and 6 rebounds for the guests. Newly promoted Olhanense maintains third position with 14-7 record having seven points less than leader Imortal. Sanjoanense at the other side dropped to the eighth place with ten games lost. Olhanense's next round opponent will be Benfica B (#12) in Lisbon and are hoping to win another game. Sanjoanense will play at home against Angrabasket (#13) and hope to win that game.
