Regular Season Round 21: Castelldefels - Mataro Feimat 73-64

Very important is a road loss of third ranked Mataro Feimat (12-7) against seventh ranked Castelldefels (12-7) on Sunday night. Visiting Mataro Feimat was defeated by Castelldefels in a tough game in Castelldefels 64-73. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Mataro Feimat. Castelldefels looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Mataro Feimat's players. The best player for the winners was center Marc Sune (200-96) who had a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds. Swingman Albert Real (189-97) chipped in 15 points. Four Castelldefels players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was naturalized GMBn forward Omar Toure (199-94) who recorded a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds and forward Jordi Juanola (196-98) added 15 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Mataro Feimat's coach Charly Giralt rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Castelldefels have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They moved-up to third place in Group C-B, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated Mataro Feimat. Castelldefels will face Roser (#14) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Mataro Feimat will play against the league's leader Tarragona (#1) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
