An interesting game for Windsor Express (8-9) which hosted in Windsor 4th placed Titans (6-13). Third ranked Windsor Express managed to get a 10-point victory 109-99. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Titans. Windsor Express made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Titans 51-36 including 39 on the defensive glass. Windsor Express looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Windsor Express made 8 blocks. American point guard Chris Jones (182-91, college: Louisville, agency: Haylett Sports) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 6 rebounds and 12 assists. His fellow American import Kirk Williams (200-86, college: Bridgeport) contributed with 21 points and 9 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winners. American forward Jon Harris (201-92, college: Cleveland St., agency: Interperformances) answered with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds and Jamaican-American Akeem Scott (185-83, college: High Point) added 18 points and 4 assists in the effort for Titans. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Windsor Express maintains third place with 8-9 record having six points less than leader Moncton M. Loser Titans keep the fourth position with 13 games lost. Windsor Express will face league's leader London Lightning at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Titans will play against Halifax Hurricanes and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
