Melbourne held off Canberra to send the series into the decisive Game 3. Boomers outrebounded Canberra Capitals 39-26 including 30 on the defensive glass. They brought some defensive toughness making 8 blocks. American guard Lindsay Allen (173-95, college: Notre Dame) scored 25 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and international power forward Eziyoda Magbegor (176-99) chipped in 17 points, 9 rebounds and 4 blocks during the contest. Canadian guard Kia Nurse (183-96, college: UConn) responded with 17 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international power forward Kelsey Griffin (188-87, college: Nebraska) scored 17 points and 7 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Canberra Capitals' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.
