Regular Season Round 15: Dnipro - Khimik 95-80

Superleague top team - Dnipro (19-5) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat fifth ranked Khimik (13-11) 95-80. The game without a history. Dnipro led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 26-of-32 charity shots (81.3 percent) during the game. Dnipro players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. 25 personal fouls committed by Khimik helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was American guard Jared Terrell (190-95, college: URI) who scored 25 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. His fellow American import point guard Henry Dugat (183-87, college: Baylor) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points, 6 rebounds and 11 assists. Five Dnipro players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Calvin Godfrey (204-90, college: Memphis) who recorded 16 points and 8 rebounds and Nigerian power forward Avery Ugba (204-94, college: Austin Peay) added 16 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the eighteenth consecutive win for Dnipro. They maintain first place with 19-5 record. Defending champion Khimik dropped to the fourth position with 11 games lost. Dnipro's next round opponent will be Cherkasy (#6) at home which should be theoretically an easy game. Khimik will play against Odessa and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
