Very expected game when 12th ranked FoKoPo (3-17) was smashed by second ranked LoKoKo Bisons (16-4) in Loimaa 115-45 on Saturday. The game without a history. LoKoKo Bisons led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding FoKoPo to just 6 points in second quarter. LoKoKo Bisons dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to FoKoPo's 20. They outrebounded FoKoPo 46-23 including a 36-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. LoKoKo Bisons looked well-organized offensively handing out 38 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by FoKoPo's players. American forward Joshua Wilchombe (203, college: OKWU) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 15 rebounds. Forward Ville Karvonen (198-96) contributed with 25 points and 6 assists for the winners. Wilchombe is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four LoKoKo Bisons players scored in double figures. Guard Johan Kotavuo (187-96) replied with 13 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Aku Haikonen (201-96) added 8 points in the effort for FoKoPo. LoKoKo Bisons maintains second position in Division with 16-4 record having four points less than leader HBA-Marsky. Loser FoKoPo keeps the twelfth place with 17 games lost. LoKoKo Bisons will face Oulun NMKY (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. FoKoPo will play against ToPo Juniorit (#4) and hope to win that game.
