Regular Season Round 22: Rendsburg - Bramsche TuS 90-83

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 10th ranked Bramsche TuS (6-15) was defeated on the road by eleventh ranked Rendsburg (5-16) 90-83 on Saturday. Rendsburg had a 36-25 advantage in offensive rebounds. American guard Garrett Jefferson (190-91, college: CBU) fired 33 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds for the winners. Power forward Yannick Pahl (204-92) chipped in 8 points and 9 rebounds. Rendsburg's coach Bjarne Homfeldt used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Croatian power forward Sasha Cuic (208-83, college: Oregon St.) produced a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds and British forward Jonathan Foulds (197-93) added 19 points respectively for lost side. Four Bramsche TuS players scored in double figures. Despite that victory Rendsburg went down to twelfth position (North) due to points difference. Newly promoted Bramsche TuS keeps the tenth place with 15 games lost. Rendsburg will face higher ranked Vechta-2 (#9) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
