Not a big story in a game when 12th ranked Barbera (4-16) lost on the road to fifth ranked Valls Nutrion (13-7) 82-68 on Saturday. Valls Nutrion outrebounded Barbera 50-31 including a 39-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Barbera's players. Quite impressive performance for guard Oriol Besora (182-97) who helped to win the game recording 28 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Victor Vinos (193-97) contributed with 11 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. DR Congolese forward David Efambe (201-1) replied with 11 points and 8 rebounds and center Larry Ewulu (197-92) added 11 points and 4 blocks in the effort for Barbera. Four Barbera players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Valls Nutrion have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place in Group C-B, which they share with Mollet and Castelldefels. Loser Barbera keeps the twelfth position with 16 games lost. Valls Nutrion will face Castelldefels (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Barbera will play against Olivar (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
