Regular Season Round 34: Parma-2 - Enisey-2 97-78

Rather expected game when 12th ranked Enisey-2 (7-31) was smashed by tenth ranked Parma-2 (11-27) in Perm 97-78 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 14-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 97-78. Parma-2 dominated on the defensive end, holding Enisey-2 to just 6 points in second quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Enisey-2's 44. They outrebounded Enisey-2 45-28 including 17 on the offensive glass. Parma-2 looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Forward Aleksandr Kurov (205-0) notched a double-double by scoring 28 points and 13 rebounds to lead the effort and forward Egor Chernyshev (196-99) supported him with 21 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists. Five Parma-2 players scored in double figures. Even 40 points (!!!) by forward Dmitriy Sonko (196-1) did not help to save the game for Enisey-2. Guard Andrey Zhelezko (186-1) added 6 points and 12 assists for lost side. Parma-2 maintains tenth position with 11-27 record. Enisey-2 lost seventh consecutive game. They stay dead last with 31 lost games. Parma-2 will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Enisey-2 will play against Zenit-2 (#7) and hope to secure a win.
