Regular Season Round 15: TSU - Olimpi 74-79

Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Tbilisi: Olimpi (#5) and TSU (#2). TSU was defeated at home 74-79 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. TSU was ahead by 5 points after three quarters before a 26-16 charge of Olimpi, which allowed them to win the game. TSU was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was an exceptional evening for the former international swingman Kakhaber Jintcharadze (195-93) who led the winners and scored 30 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international guard Revaz Rogava (192-93) accounted for 13 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side. International power forward Giorgi Korsantia (207-98) came up with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds and the former international power forward Giorgi Turdziladze (210-97) added 16 points and 11 rebounds respectively for TSU in the defeat. Olimpi (8-6) moved-up to third place, which they share with Kutaisi and Vera. TSU at the other side keeps the second position with five games lost. Olimpi will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. TSU's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Tbilisi to the arena Cactus Tbilisi.
