Second Stage Round 4: BK Kolin - Brno 77-78

A very interesting game took place in Kolin. It ended with only one-point home defeat of 11th ranked BK Kolin (5-20) to twelfth ranked Brno (6-19) 78-77 in the fight for the eleventh place. Brno made 16-of-21 charity shots (76.2 percent) during the game. They also forced 21 BK Kolin turnovers. Strangely BK Kolin outrebounded Brno 45-32 including 33 on the defensive glass. It was a very good performance for American guard Davell Roby (193-96, college: St.Louis) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 5 steals. Forward Jakub Krakovic (205-90) contributed with 14 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. American Anthony Durham (190-96, college: Rider) replied with 20 points and 8 rebounds and his fellow American import guard Ben Richardson (190-96, college: Loyola, IL) added 15 points in the effort for BK Kolin. Brno have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to eleventh place in Places 9-12. BK Kolin at the other side dropped to the bottom position with 20 games lost. Brno's next round opponent will be higher ranked Kralovsti sokoli (#9) in Hradec Kralove and it may be quite challenging game. BK Kolin will play on the road against NH Ostrava and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
