Regular Season Round 22: Tobarra - Alcala 75-70

There was a minor upset when 8th ranked Alcala (11-11) lost on the road to tenth ranked Tobarra (11-11) 75-70 on Saturday. Quite impressive performance for American forward Martin Smith (196-93, college: Lipscomb) who helped to win the game recording 21 points (made all of his eight free throws). Canadian-Jamaican guard NKosi Kedar (191-94, college: Simon Fraser, agency: Two Points) contributed with 14 points and 5 assists for the winners. Four Tobarra players scored in double figures. Power forward Juan-Gabriel Martinez (198-93) replied with 19 points and forward Jorge Barra (196-90) added 13 points in the effort for Alcala. Tobarra moved-up to eighth place in Group B, which they share with Alcala and Dist.Olimpico. Alcala lost third consecutive game. Tobarra will face higher ranked Tenerife Naut. (#7) in Santa Cruz de Tenerife in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
