Regular Season Round 24: Siauliai - Nevezis 91-75

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both eighth ranked Siauliai and 9th ranked Nevezis had identical 6-16 record. This time Siauliai used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Kedainiai 91-75. The game without a history. Siauliai led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Nevezis' 40. Siauliai forced 23 Nevezis turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 34 assists comparing to just 19 passes made by Nevezis' players. The best player for the winners was power forward Antanas Udras (203-92, agency: Agency) who scored 22 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Center Benas Griciunas (213-94, college: EWU) chipped in 25 points. Four Siauliai and five Nevezis players scored in double figures. Siauliai (7-16) moved-up to seventh place, which they share with P.Zvaigzdes. Nevezis lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with 17 games lost. Siauliai's next round opponent will be higher ranked Neptunas (#5) in Klaipeda and it may be quite challenging game. Nevezis will play on the road against Rytas (#3) in Vilnius and hope to win that game.
