Regular Season Round 15: Dnipro - Odessa 95-70

Date: March 1, 2020
An interesting game for Dnipro (19-5) which hosted in Dnipro 4th placed Odessa (13-11). First ranked Dnipro had an easy win 95-70. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Odessa. The game was mostly controlled by Dnipro. Odessa was better in second period 21-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists. It was a great evening for American guard Jared Terrell (190-95, college: URI) who led his team to a victory scoring 23 points and 4 assists. Point guard Maksym Zakurdaev (196-93) helped adding 17 points. Dnipro's coach Denys Zhuravlov felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was the former international point guard Klym Artamonov (185-93, agency: Dynamics Global Management) with a double-double by scoring 11 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists and American forward Terry Winn-III (201-95, college: UTRGV) scored 19 points and 5 rebounds. Four Odessa players scored in double figures. The victory was the eighteenth consecutive win for Dnipro. They maintain first place with 19-5 record. Odessa at the other side keeps the fourth position with 11 games lost. They share it with Khimik. Dnipro will play against Cherkasy (#6) at home in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Odessa will play against Khimik in Yuzhny and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
