An interesting game was also a 19-point tough home loss of Mets in a game in Guaynabo versus undefeated Capitanes (#4) 93-74. They made 16-of-18 free shots (88.9 percent) during the game. Capitanes outrebounded Mets 42-28 including 28 on the defensive glass. The former international guard Jezreel De-Jesus (185-91, agency: Interperformances) nailed 20 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side and Nigerian-American power forward Chinemelu Elonu (206-87, college: Texas A&M) accounted for 11 points and 16 rebounds. Five Capitanes players scored in double figures. American Daniel Hamilton (201-95, college: UConn) came up with 16 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and U.S. Virgin Islands forward Rakeem Christmas (206-91, college: Syracuse) added 18 points respectively for Mets in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Capitanes will meet Brujos (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Mets will play against Atleticos in San German and hope to win that game.
