The game in Las Palmas was also worth to mention about. Zamorano (14-10) played at the court of Gran Canaria 2 (11-13). Zamorano did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 77-60. Zamorano dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Gran Canaria 2's 28. They outrebounded Gran Canaria 2 51-36 including 20 on the offensive glass. 25 personal fouls committed by Gran Canaria 2 helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Forward Walter Cabral (200-95, agency: Dynamics Global Management) notched a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds to lead the effort and Slovenian guard Ziga Samar (193-1) supported him with 10 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. Four Zamorano players scored in double figures. Even 18 points by Montenegrin swingman Jovan Kljajic (198-1) did not help to save the game for Gran Canaria 2. Polish center Aleksander Balcerowski (217-0, agency: Octagon Europe) added 7 points and 10 rebounds for the hosts. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Zamorano's next round opponent will be CB Prat (#3) at home, which may be the game of the day. Gran Canaria 2 will play against UBU Tizona (#1) in Burgos and hope to win that game.
