The most exciting game of round 5 in the 1Liga took place in Opava. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of 4th placed Opava B (9-13) to fifth ranked Sokol Prazky (10-13) 67-64 in the game for the fourth place. Sokol Prazky outrebounded Opava B 58-35 including a 17-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. Forward Stepan Brix (201-94) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 12 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Center Jan Stepanek (190-83) contributed with 15 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Point guard Lukas Bukovjan (185-98) answered with 33 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds and forward Krystof Vlcek (195-91) added 6 points, 12 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals in the effort for Opava B. Sokol Prazky moved-up to fourth place in Places 7-12. Opava B at the other side dropped to the fifth position with 13 games lost. Sokol Prazky are looking forward to face Vysocina (#6) in Jihlava in the next round. Opava B will play on the road against the league's second-placed Litomerice and is hoping to win this game.
