Another upset was a game between Olympique Antibes (13-8) and Saint-Quentin (6-16), which took place in Saint-Quentin. Higher ranked Olympique Antibes lost to seventeenth ranked Saint-Quentin in a road game 76-82 on Friday. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Olympique Antibes. Saint-Quentin made 18-of-21 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. It was a very good performance for Vincentian-Canadian forward Lien Phillip (203-89, college: Windsor) who helped to win the game recording 20 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Ivorian point guard Jean-Francois Kebe (185-94) contributed with 28 points for the winners. Saint-Quentin's coach Julien Mahe used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American Tim Blue (204-84, college: MTSU) replied with 23 points and Romuald Morency (202-95) added 18 points in the effort for Olympique Antibes. Newly promoted Saint-Quentin maintains seventeenth position with 6-16 record. Loser Olympique Antibes keeps the fourth place with eight games lost. Saint-Quentin will face higher ranked JA Vichy (#12) on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Olympique Antibes will play against Provence Basket (#11) and hope to win that game and get promotion back to the Jeep ELITE ProA just one year after relegation.
