Regular Season Round 25: Orleans - Roanne 89-75

There was a surprise result when fourteenth ranked Orleans (8-16) defeated at home higher ranked Roanne (14-9) 89-75 on Saturday. Orleans dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Roanne's 34. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Point guard Hugo Pellure (182-99) fired a triple-double by scoring 23 points, 10 rebounds, 14 assists and 6 steals for the winners. Naturalized Beninese center Jean-Fabrice Dossou (210-0) chipped in a double-double by scoring 19 points and 14 rebounds. Four Orleans players scored in double figures. Point guard Gaetan Meyniel (189-0) produced 20 points, 7 assists and 6 steals and forward Arthur Bruyas (198-0) added 16 points respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Orleans moved-up to thirteenth place. Loser Roanne dropped to the seventh position with nine games lost. Orleans will face higher ranked Gravelines (#11) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
