Regular Season Round 25: Rybnik - Pogon RS 62-63

Very predictable result when fifth ranked Pogon RS (13-10) edged on the road 10th ranked Rybnik (7-16) 63-62 on Saturday. Pogon RS forced 20 Rybnik turnovers. Rybnik was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. Center Wojciech Zurawski (202-76) stepped up and scored 8 points and 16 rebounds for the winners and point guard Mateusz Pawlik (180-92) chipped in 17 points and 5 rebounds. At the losing side center Tomasz Czajkowski (204-82) responded with 14 points and 9 rebounds and forward Lukasz Ochodek (197-82) scored 15 points and 6 rebounds. Rybnik's coach Lukasz Szymik rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Pogon RS maintains fifth place in Group C with 13-10 record. Newly promoted Rybnik keeps the tenth position with 16 games lost. Pogon RS will face Jaroslaw (#6) at home in the next round. Rybnik will play against the league's leader Wisla Krakow (#1) and hope to win that game.
