Second Stage Round 6: NH Ostrava - Brno 77-80

A very interesting game took place in Ostrava. It ended with only three-point home defeat of 9th ranked NH Ostrava (8-19) to tenth ranked Brno (8-19) 80-77 in the game for the ninth place. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of NH Ostrava. American players dominated the game. The best player for the winners was guard Davell Roby (193-96, college: St.Louis) who scored 23 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Point guard Bryan Smithson (183-85, college: UNC Asheville) chipped in 18 points and 6 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Kammeon Holsey (203-90, college: Georgia Tech) who recorded 16 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Josh Newkirk (185-94, college: Indiana) added 19 points respectively. Five Brno and four NH Ostrava players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Brno have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to ninth place in Places 9-12, which they share with NH Ostrava and Kralovsti sokoli. Brno's next round opponent will be bottom-ranked BK Kolin (#12) at home.
