Regular Season Round 19: MBK Ruzomb. - Samorin 86-31

Very significant was MBK Ruzomberok's (#1, 19-0) victory against 4th placed Samorin (6-12) 86-31. MBK Ruzomberok dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Samorin's 24. MBK Ruzomberok forced 21 Samorin turnovers and outrebounded them 45-20 including a 35-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. MBK Ruzomberok players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Samorin's players. It was an exceptional evening for Ukrainian forward Olga Yatskovets (188-97) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 15 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field). International guard Radka Stasova (168-97) accounted for 18 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals for the winning side. Four MBK Ruzomberok players scored in double figures. The former international guard Timea Sujova (173-84) came up with 20 points and Simona Marcova (184-94) added 6 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Samorin in the defeat. MBK Ruzomberok (19-0) have an impressive series of nineteen victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with a perfect record of 19 victories in a row. Samorin at the other side keeps the fourth position with 12 games lost. MBK Ruzomberok will play against league's second-placed Piestanske C. in Piestany in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Samorin will play at home against Banska Bystrica and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
