Regular Season Round 131: Sacramento K. - Toronto R. 113-118

Date: March 8, 2020
Not a big story in a game in Sacramento where 3rd placed Kings (28-36) were defeated by first ranked Raptors (45-18) 118-113 on Sunday. Raptors made 21-of-27 free shots (77.8 percent) during the game. Strangely Kings outrebounded Raptors 50-36 including 40 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. It was a great evening for point guard Kyle Lowry (183-86, college: Villanova) who led his team to a victory scoring 30 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. Guard Norman Powell (193-93, college: UCLA) helped adding 31 points and 5 assists. Guard DeAaron Fox (192-97, college: Kentucky) responded with 28 points and 4 assists (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!) and Serbian Nemanja Bjelica (209-88) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds. Five Raptors and four Kings players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Raptors have a solid series of three victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 45-18 record. Loser Kings keep the third position with 36 games lost. Raptors will face league's second-placed Jazz in Salt Lake City in the next day and it will be for sure the game of the week.
