Second Stage Round 4: CDP - GUG 80-84
Date: March 8, 2020
An interesting game for GUG (3-1) which played against 3rd ranked CDP (1-3). Second ranked GUG managed to get a 4-point victory 84-80. GUG forced 22 CDP turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Juan Guerrero (201-93) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points and 13 rebounds. Guard Rigoberto Mendoza (190-92) contributed with 26 points for the winners. Naturalized American forward Angel Nunez (203-91, college: S.Florida) replied with 22 points and 7 rebounds and American point guard Reger Dowell (185-91, college: UT Arlington) added 11 points and 12 assists in the effort for CDP. Four CDP players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. GUG keeps a position of league leader, which they share with CPN. CDP at the other side keeps the third place with three games lost. They share the position with Plaza. GUG's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Santiago Plaza.
