Regular Season Round 16: Dnipro - Cherkasy 103-95

Superleague top team - Dnipro (20-5) added another victory to their record on Sunday. This time they beat sixth ranked Cherkasy (12-12) 103-95. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 29-20. But Cherkasy won second period 28-21. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Dnipro shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 54.5 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American guard Jared Terrell (190-95, college: URI) fired 23 points for the winners. The former international forward Stanislav Tymofeyenko (205-89, agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in 16 points and 8 rebounds. Dnipro's coach Denys Zhuravlov used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Bosnian power forward Sead Hadzifejzovic (202-89, agency: 011 Sports) produced 28 points and 7 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) and American forward Dion Wright (201-93, college: St.Bonaventure) added 18 points respectively for lost side. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Dnipro have an impressive 19-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 20-5 record. Loser Cherkasy keeps the sixth place with 12 games lost. Dnipro will meet Prometey (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day.
