The game in Atlanta was also quite interesting. One of their biggest challengers Hornets (22-42) played at the court of fifth ranked Hawks (20-46). Hawks managed to secure a 5-point victory 143-138 on Monday. Hawks outrebounded Hornets 53-35 including a 41-27 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 33 assists. The best player for the winners was guard Trae Young (188-98, college: Oklahoma) who had a double-double by scoring 31 points and 16 assists. U.S. Virgin Islands-American John Collins (208-97, college: Wake Forest) chipped in a double-double by scoring 28 points and 11 rebounds (on 12-of-13 shooting from the field). Hawks' coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Terry Rozier (185-94, college: Louisville) who recorded 40 points (!!!) and point guard Devonte Graham (187-95, college: Kansas) added 27 points, 10 assists and 4 steals respectively. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Hawks maintains fifth position with 20-46 record. Loser Hornets keep the fourth place with 42 games lost.
