Regular Season Round 23: Samsun - Ankara B. 81-71

Bottom-ranked Samsun managed to get a fifth victory, breaking the series of two consecutive losses on Saturday night. This time newly promoted Samsun won against fifteenth-ranked Ankara B. 81-71. Samsun looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Ankara B.'s players. It was a great evening for North Macedonian center Predrag Samardziski (215-86, agency: BeoBasket) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 18 rebounds. Point guard Abdullah Kocal (190-94) helped adding 11 points and 9 assists. Four Samsun players scored in double figures. Samsun's coach Gokhan Tastimur used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Ihsan-Yalcin Azizmahmutogullari (188-82) responded with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds and American guard Desi Washington (188-92, college: St.Peter's) scored 19 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Samsun (5-18) moved-up to fifteenth place. Ankara B. lost third consecutive game. Ankara B. at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the bottom position with 19 games lost. Samsun are looking forward to face league's second-placed Socar Petkim on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Ankara B. will play against Duzce Belediye (#14) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
