Regular Season Round 40: Sea Horses M. - Yokohama BC 82-89

The most important game in the last round took place in Kariya between second ranked Aishin Sea Horses (17-23) and fifth ranked Yokohama BC (11-29) on Saturday night. Aishin Sea Horses were defeated by Yokohama BC in a tough game at home 82-89. Turkish center Reginald Becton (206-91) fired a double-double by scoring 26 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists (on 12-of-15 shooting from the field) for the winners. American forward James Southerland (203-90, college: Syracuse) chipped in 18 points and 7 rebounds. American power forward Davante Gardner (203-91, college: Marquette) produced 24 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and his fellow American import power forward Chris Johnson (210-85, college: LSU) added 19 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Yokohama BC maintains fifth position with 11-29 record, which they share with Shimane SM. Aishin Sea Horses at the other side keep the second place with 23 games lost. They share the position with Toyama G.. Yokohama BC will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Aishin Sea Horses will play again at home against Yokohama BC and are hoping to win this game.
