The game in Hamamatsu supposed to be also quite interesting. Third ranked Toyama G. (17-23) played at the court of 6th ranked San-en NeoPhoenix (4-36). Toyama G. smashed San-en NeoPhoenix 95-73 on Saturday. They outrebounded San-en NeoPhoenix 42-26 including a 28-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Toyama G. looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American forward Leo Lyons (206-87, college: Missouri) fired a double-double by scoring 25 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. The other American import center Isaac Butts (208-89, college: Appalachian St.) chipped in a double-double by scoring 19 points and 14 rebounds. Five Toyama G. players scored in double figures. American forward Robert Dozier (206-85, college: Memphis) produced 11 points and 7 rebounds and the former international forward Takanobu Nishikawa (195-92) added 18 points respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Toyama G. moved-up to second place, which they share with Sea Horses M. Loser San-en NeoPhoenix keeps the sixth position with 36 games lost. Toyama G. will have a break next round. San-en NeoPhoenix will play again at home against Toyama G. (#3) and hope to win that game.
