Second Stage Round 11: Gloria - Runa 57-65

One of the most interesting games of round 11 was a derby match between two teams from Russia. The game took place in Moscow where twenty third ranked Runa won against host Gloria (8-7) 65-57. Gloria trailed by 16 points after 3 quarters before a 21-13 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 57-65 at the end of the game. It was an exceptional evening for Vladislav Karasev (-4) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 13 rebounds. Nikolai Slutskii (-3) accounted for 16 points for the winning side. Forward Gediminas Rumsha (202-3) came up with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds and Sergey Silenok (-3) added 14 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Gloria in the defeat. Gloria's coach rotated twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Runa (5-10) moved-up to twenty second place. Loser Gloria dropped to the ninth position with seven games lost. Runa's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Moscow CSKA.
