The game between closely ranked teams ended with 5th ranked Akita Happinets' (19-22) road loss to fourth ranked Hitachi Sunrockers (27-14) in Tokyo 79-84. Strangely Akita Happinets outrebounded Hitachi Sunrockers 44-27 including a 31-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. The best player for the winners was Spanish forward Sebastian Saiz (205-94, college: Ole Miss) who had a double-double by scoring 13 points and 13 rebounds. American Ryan Kelly (211-91, college: Duke) chipped in 16 points and 5 rebounds. American-Panamanian center Javier Carter (203-91, college: S.Alabama) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists and Bahamas power forward Kadeem Coleby (206-89, college: Wichita St., agency: HMS) added 14 points and 11 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Hitachi Sunrockers keep a position of league leader, which they share with Ryukyu GK. Akita Happinets at the other side keep the fifth place with 22 games lost. Hitachi Sunrockers' next round opponent will be league's leader Ryukyu GK in Okinawa and it will be for sure the game of the week. Akita Happinets will play at home against Chiba J.
