Second Stage Round 12: Gloria - Belgorod 52-69

One of the most interesting games of round 12 was a derby match between two teams from Russia. The game took place in Moscow where fourth ranked Belgorod won against host Gloria (8-7) 69-52. The game without a history. Belgorod led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 25-of-28 charity shots (89.3 percent) during the game. Belgorod forced 19 Gloria turnovers. Gloria was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. The winners were led by Daniil Kiriljuk (-3) who scored that evening 13 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) and Arkadii Polishchuk supported him with 12 points and 6 rebounds. Even 16 points by forward Gediminas Rumsha (202-3) did not help to save the game for Gloria. Nikita Mozarovskiy added 12 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Belgorod (10-5) moved-up to second place. Gloria at the other side dropped to the ninth position with seven games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
