Perth Wildcats cruised past Sydney Kings to gain 2-1 lead in the championship series. Perth Wildcats made 21-of-26 free shots (80.8 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Kings' players. It was a great evening for international power forward Nick Kay (206-92, college: MSU Denver) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 30 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. American guard Bryce Cotton (182-92, college: Providence, agency: Pensack Sports) helped adding 31 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. The best for the losing side was American forward JaeSean Tate (193-95, college: Ohio St.) with 20 points and 6 rebounds and the former international swingman Brad Newley (199-85, agency: BeoBasket) scored 19 points and 5 rebounds. Five Perth Wildcats and four Kings players scored in double figures. Kings' coach Will Weaver rotated ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
