There was a small surprise when tenth ranked Ironi Nahariya (9-13) beat at home 7th ranked Galil Gilboa (9-13) 94-76 on Monday. Ironi Nahariya made 28-of-37 free shots (75.7 percent) during the game. Ironi Nahariya outrebounded Galil Gilboa 38-24 including a 28-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Galil Gilboa's players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Ironi Nahariya made 8 blocks. Galil Gilboa was plagued by 30 personal fouls down the stretch. Quite impressive performance for international power forward Itay Segev (204-95) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds. Cape Verdean-Portuguese Ivan Almeida (198-89, college: Stonehill) contributed with 7 points, 11 rebounds, 11 assists and 4 steals for the winners.
