Regular Season Round 137: Toronto R. - LA Lakers 107-92

An interesting game for Raptors (47-18) which hosted in Toronto their close opponent Lakers (50-15). First ranked Raptors had an easy win 107-92. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Raptors made 23-of-26 charity shots (88.5 percent) during the game. Raptors outrebounded Lakers 51-40 including a 44-32 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. Lakers were plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Point guard Kyle Lowry (183-86, college: Villanova) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!), 14 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners and point guard Fred VanVleet (183-94, college: Wichita St.) chipped in 13 points, 5 rebounds and 11 assists. LeBron James (203-84) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists and center Anthony Davis (208-93, college: Kentucky) scored 14 points and 6 rebounds (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!). Four Raptors and five Lakers players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Raptors have an impressive series of five victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 47-18 record which they share with defeated Lakers. Lakers at the other side still keep top position with 15 games lost.
