The game in Saskatoon was also quite interesting. Fifth ranked Hamilton (3-3) played at the court of 6th ranked Saskatchewan (1-4). Hamilton defeated Saskatchewan 86-73 on Tuesday. They outrebounded Saskatchewan 44-26 including a 33-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Hamilton looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was Rwandan-Canadian guard Jean-Victor Mukama (203-94, college: Ryerson) who scored 28 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Kalif Young (206-97, college: Providence) chipped in a double-double by scoring 13 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Guard Negus Webster-Chan (200-93, college: Hawaii) produced 18 points and 7 rebounds and American guard Kevin Bracy-Davis (201-95, college: Davis & Elkins) added 15 points and 4 assists respectively for the hosts. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Hamilton moved-up to fourth place. Saskatchewan lost fourth consecutive game. Defending champion dropped to the bottom position with four games lost. Hamilton will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Saskatchewan will play against Ottawa (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
