The most crucial game of the last day was another loss of Rockets (44-27) on Wednesday night. Hosts were defeated by Pacers (44-28) 108-104. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Pacers dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Rockets' 32 and made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. Pacers forced 20 Rockets turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Pacers made 7 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Myles Turner (211-96, college: Texas) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds and Nigerian-American guard Victor Oladipo (193-92, college: Indiana) who added 16 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. At the losing side James Harden (196-89, college: ASU) responded with a double-double by scoring 45 points (!!!), 17 rebounds and 9 assists and forward Robert Covington (206-90, college: TSU) scored 11 points and 7 rebounds. Five Pacers and four Rockets players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Pacers keep a position of league leader, which they share with Miami Heat. Rockets at the other side still keep top place with 27 games lost. They share the position with OKC Thunder.
