Clippers made 22-of-27 charity shots (81.5 percent) during the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. 24 personal fouls committed by Mavericks helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was an exceptional evening for forward Kawhi Leonard (201-91, college: San Diego St.) who led the winners and scored 36 points (!!!), 9 rebounds and 8 assists. Swingman Paul George (206-90, college: Fresno St.) accounted for 11 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists for the winning side. Latvian power forward Kristaps Porzingis (221-95) came up with a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 13 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) and Slovenian guard Luka Doncic (201-99) added 13 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists respectively for Mavericks in the defeat. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games.
