Regular Season Round 1: Brno - Kolin 78-61

Brno used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Kolin 78-61 on Friday night. Brno looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. International point guard Viktor Pulpan (191-96) stepped up and scored 9 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners and point guard Jan Kozina (181-95) chipped in 13 points and 7 rebounds. At the losing side guard Filip Novotny (190-0) responded with 14 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and center Jiri Jelinek (204-87, agency: Octagon Europe) scored 15 points and 8 rebounds. Four BK Kolin players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Brno will face BK Olomoucko in Prostejov in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. BK Kolin will play on the road against ERA Nymburk and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
