Regular Season Round 1: Abejas - Libertadores 98-107

An interesting game was played in Guanajuato where Libertadores beat host Abejas 107-98 on Friday evening. Libertadores made 29-of-33 free shots (87.9 percent) during the game. The game was dominated by American players. Jordan Adams (196-94, college: UCLA) stepped up and scored 32 points and 7 rebounds for the winners and guard Stedmon Lemon (198-92, college: JCSU) chipped in 36 points (!!!) (made all of his ten free throws !!!). At the losing side forward Leron Black (201-96, college: Illinois) responded with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 16 rebounds and Onzie Branch (201-91, college: Gardner-Webb) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Five Abejas players scored in double figures. Libertadores will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Abejas will play again against Libertadores and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
