Regular Season Round 6: Lenadores - Fuerza Regia 104-91

LNBP top team - Lenadores (5-1) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat sixth ranked Fuerza Regia (0-4) in Durango 104-91. Lenadores shot the lights out from three nailing 18 long-distance shots on high 54.5 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. It was a good game for American-Dominican Antonio Pena (204-86, college: Villanova) who led his team to a victory with 31 points and 6 rebounds. The former international point guard Gabriel Giron (192-88) contributed with 21 points and 4 assists for the winners. Puerto Rican swingman David Huertas (195-87, college: Ole Miss) replied with 17 points and 6 assists and Nigerian-American power forward OD Anosike (203-91, college: Siena) added 15 points and 8 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) in the effort for Fuerza Regia. Four Lenadores and five Fuerza Regia players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players saving starting five for next games. Lenadores maintains first position with 5-1 record, which they share with Aaguacateros and Mineros. Fuerza Regia at the other side still closes the standings with four games lost. Lenadores' next round opponent will be league's second-placed Mineros in Zacatecas and it will be for sure the game of the week. Fuerza Regia will play on the road against Plateros in Fresnillo and hopes to get finally their first victory.
