The game without a history. Wanneroo led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. American forward Kayla Steindl (187-89, college: Gonzaga) nailed a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds for the winning side and forward Isabelle Miotti (178-98) accounted for 11 points and 4 assists. Four Wanneroo players scored in double figures. The former international power forward Natalie Burton (194-89, college: WVU) came up with 14 points and 7 rebounds and swingman Nikita-Lee Martin (184-88) added 4 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for Hawks in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
