Regular Season Round 2: Sokol Prazsky - Orli Prostejov 63-96

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Sokol Prazsky in Praha on Sunday night. Hosts were rolled over by Orli 96-63. Orli dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Sokol Prazsky's 36. Orli forced 32 Sokol Prazsky turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. Point guard Richard Balint (192-2) orchestrated the victory by scoring 28 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 6 steals. Guard Jan Travnicek (189-2) contributed with 17 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Guard Adam Ruzicka (191) replied with 18 points and 9 rebounds and guard Matej Safarik (188-3) added 16 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Sokol Prazsky. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Orli are looking forward to face Snakes in Ostrava in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Sokol Prazsky will play on the road against Nymburk and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
